Hellbound is an action and indie game developed by Saibot Studios.

The year is 2023. A mysterious phenomenon is happening all over the world — some people receive a prediction about their death, and exactly at the appointed time, evil creatures come for them and brutally kill them. A policeman who lost his wife a few years ago is investigating a case of such a public murder when he finds out that his daughter, a high school student, is a member of the increasingly popular religious organization Novaya Pravda, whose leader considers what is happening to be divine retribution.

Korean cinema has recently attracted more and more attention from viewers and critics. Two years ago, the Academy Award was awarded to the horror drama "Parasites" directed by Pon Joon Ho. According to the Film Academy, the film became the best in a foreign language. Most recently, Netflix introduced the series "The Squid Game" directed by Hwang Dong Hyuk. And so Netflix showed a new TV series "The Call of Hell" (Hellbound), which was directed by Yong Sang Ho.

The series takes place on Earth in an alternate reality where various supernatural beings can materialize. They can transmit prophecies and take people to hell.

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the rating of the series at the end of November 2021 is 100% based on 15 reviews from critics. The site 's critical consensus reads: "Conjured by the devilish imagination of writer and director Yong Sang Ho, The Call of Hell uses its terrifying concept to thoughtfully explore human error propensity." According to The Guardian, "The Call of Hell" topped the top of the most popular Netflix series in 80 countries 24 hours after the premiere, thereby shifting the "Squid Game" from the first line in the list of the most viewed projects of the streaming service.

In April 2020, Netflix approved the production of an original series based on the Hellbound webtoon, written and drawn by Yong Sang Ho. Yong was invited to the project as a director.
