Artur Flek is not the happiest clown who since the childhood dreamed to make people happy. For this reason he chose such an unpopular profession. Earlier he had to live with the sick mother who was the only person with whom Artur could have small relations. But now it one, and it is misunderstood by people around. It appears on the stage, again and again gives the performances, putting in them all the heart and soul.
But, it seems, nobody cares for Artur. The public was tired of the fact that the clown does not smile. Gradually it leads to serious changes in mentality of the main character. He endures deep crisis because of which from the former good-natured clown there is no trace left also. Psychological changes turn the main character into the monster calling himself the Joker. This clown does not differ in good intentions and is ready in all possible ways to achieve goals. And very soon blood will be shed on streets of Gotham that will bring to the most ruthless and dangerous maniac in the history. Whether somebody will be able to stop Artur before he carries out the plans?...
