In hard times people give in to manipulations easier. Under the threat of the general trouble society almost does not pay attention to oppression of the rights and freedoms. The USA lost the status of a superpower, and in Great Britain unknown dictatorship under the auspices of the omnipotent chancellor is established. At first sight life in England looks tolerant: the people watch entertainment programs, eat healthy food, the trifle is necessary — to observe a curfew. The employee of television Ivi Hammond inadvertently violates the last rule and falls into hands of secret police. The unknown person in a mask comes to the rescue, and from this point life of the main character cardinally changes.

The mysterious stranger invites Ivi to listen to "performance" which is wrapped in terrorist attack. It undermines the building of the central criminal court under the overture by Tchaikovsky "1812". Who is he — the madman or the person really capable to overthrow the existing regime?
