In the twenty second century the mankind already learned to make trips on huge distances, to other galaxies and to colonize far-out planets. Such expeditions became a commonplace - and the Nostromo ship, having carried out the task, comes back to Earth. But on the way there is unforeseen. Though the shuttle is still far from an appointment point, his passengers leave an artificial dream in which have to be shipped all the time of a way. The reason is found quickly enough: on-board computers fix strange signals which proceed from the planet located nearby. To learn what there occurs, astronauts decide to equip a small expedition which does not promise anything dangerous. However very quickly the situation gets out of hand. 

The researcher who went to the planet finds on the place very strange eggs with germs of unknown beings inside. And after that is attacked by one of them. Unclear creation stuck to a man's face and shipped it in a coma. It is impossible to separate space facecather from the victim - and other astronauts decide to leave the colleague who felled into a coma by the ship, prior to further researches. However, unconsciousness of the victim does not last long: soon he recovers and, it seems, even begins to lead usual life as all other inhabitants of Nostromo. Usual, but not absolutely - and to colleagues the opportunity is given to be convinced of it. Behind the first lunch unclear substance gets out of a body of the recovered victim - and attacks astronauts. It is almost impossible to battle against it: instead of blood in veins of a being the most real acid which corrodes even a thick covering of the ship flows.

Now before researchers there is a new problem: how to get rid of the blood-thirsty Stranger, to neutralize him and to come back home safe? It is heavy to make it especially that population of almost impregnable creature grows literally in the eyes, and each of inhabitants of Nostromo at any time can fall its victim and a cover for further reproduction. Only who is ready to resist to new threat and to fight back hardy creatures - the female officer Ripley allocated not only with courage, but also analytical skills, and ability to unite all team in a name of a common goal.
