In 1996, in one of the hospitals in Pennsylvania, a patient becomes ill. Doctors and nurses come to the rescue, they do everything possible. A young nurse, who was the first to respond to help, watches as the patient dies. 7 years have passed, the action of the film is transferred to 2003, to a hospital located in New Jersey. The main character, a kind and sensitive girl Amy, works here. She has a good reputation among colleagues, bosses, but most importantly, her patients love her. She is loyal to the relatives of patients, even allows them to stay together for longer than is allowed by the regulations of the clinic. She has two children herself, but because of work she can't spend much time with them.

 

Amy has a serious illness, an urgent heart transplant is required, otherwise she will die.
