The film begins as a stage sketch within the framework of the play. The monotonous office life of people as a whole is presented together with their past, which is shown through sequences of memories. The film switches to flashbacks in Shimla, in which the child is fascinated by stories told by a roadside narrator.

Then the events move to the time when Tara meets an adult Veda while both are on vacation in Corsica. After an instant connection, they conclude a funny verbal pact, until the end of the rest they will try not to fall in love with each other, because they will have to explore the island together. Gradually their bond strengthens, Tara realizes that she is falling in love with an old acquaintance, and then decides to leave Corsica, despite their romantic friendship. The picture returns to another flashback, where a young Ved asks the narrator about the reason that happy times are quickly ending, noticing the sad end of the stories.
