The story begins with the moment when the US diplomat in Lebanon, Mason Skiles and his wife decide to take custody of a thirteen-year-old boy named Karim. The teenager claimed that his parents had died and he was completely alone in this white world. In fact, the main character will have to join a terrorist organization led by Karim, who is trying to get his brother out of prison by any means. Mason is supposed to be the link in this case, but memories begin to pull at an old wound.
