A couple in love, Tom and Gemma, one day decides to buy a house for themselves. They turn for help in this matter to a very extraordinary real estate agent Martin. The realtor offered young people to settle in a newly built neighborhood in the suburbs called "Yonder". Similar, but quite cozy mansions are ideal for families planning to have offspring in the near future. 

Martin gave the main characters the keys to house number nine, after which he disappeared without a trace. After just a couple of days, the newly-minted residents, frightened by the surreal atmosphere, suddenly decide to leave a strange place. Desperate to find their way back, they return disappointed to the newly acquired dwelling. Waking up the next morning, the new settlers were surprised to find a newborn baby on their porch. Together with the child, they found a small note in which they were offered to raise and educate the baby in exchange for the desired freedom.
